Job Description:
Coretax Africa is searching for a detail-oriented and dynamic Accountant to join their expanding team based in Dar es Salaam. This critical role involves dual responsibility: managing Coretax Africa's in-house accounting functions and providing professional, on-site accounting and advisory services to a diverse clientele across various sectors. The ideal candidate will leverage strong technical expertise and client-facing skills to deliver timely and accurate financial information crucial for compliance and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statements compliant with local regulations, and managing core processes like accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations. The Accountant will also be responsible for conducting tax computations and filings in line with Tanzanian tax laws, supporting clients with financial best practices and internal controls, and assisting in the preparation of management reports and forecasts.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of proven professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Tanzanian tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or Sage, and MS Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial records and compliant financial statements.
• Experience conducting tax computations, filings, and providing tax advisory services.
• Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations.
• Strong communication and client-facing interpersonal skills for on-site support.
• Capacity to prepare management reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed to provide advisory services.
• CPA (T) or ACCA qualification is highly desirable.
• Ability to liaise effectively with auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
