  • The Business Development Manager will lead growth initiatives for the company by securing pharmaceutical and medical device supply contracts, identifying tender opportunities, managing bid submissions, and building strategic relationships with hospitals, government agencies, NGOs, and procurement bodies. The role requires strong knowledge of tender processes, healthcare procurement regulations, and the local pharmaceutical/medical device market.

  • Tender Identification & Management
  • • Monitor, identify, and evaluate tender opportunities from government agencies, NGOs, private hospitals, and international organizations.
  • • Lead the end-to-end tender process: document preparation, pricing, submission, compliance checks, and follow-up.
  • • Coordinate cross-functional teams (procurement, finance, regulatory, warehouse) to compile accurate and timely tender responses.
  • • Track tender outcomes, maintain a database of submissions, and analyze results for continuous improvement.
  • • Ensure all tender documents meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements relevant to pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
  • Market Research & Business Expansion
  • • Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities, pricing trends, procurement cycles, and competitor activities.
  • • Analyze local and regional demand for medicines, consumables, and medical devices to drive expansion strategies.
  • • Identify and evaluate potential manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors to expand the company’s product portfolio.
  • • Recommend new product lines and market entry strategies based on research findings.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including hospitals, procurement officers, NGOs, and donor-funded organizations.
  • • Conduct periodic visits and meetings to understand client needs, resolve issues, and strengthen business ties.
  • • Represent Consolation Medicare Limited at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking gatherings.
  • • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership agreements in line with company policies.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth
  • • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • • Identify new sales channels and revenue streams for medicines and medical devices.
  • • Prepare and submit quotations, commercial proposals, and pro-forma invoices to clients.
  • • Support the development of long-term commercial partnerships and framework agreements.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • • Ensure all submissions adhere to procurement regulations, tender guidelines, and industry standards.
  • • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product registrations, supplier certifications, licenses, and regulatory documents.
  • • Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure all products meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Internal Coordination
  • • Collaborate with the procurement team to source products at competitive prices while ensuring quality.
  • • Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of awarded contract items.
  • • Provide periodic reports to management on business development activities, tender performance, market intelligence, and revenue progress.

Requirements

  • • 5–7 years of experience in business development, tender management, or sales within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or healthcare supply.
  • • Experience working with government tenders, donor-funded projects (e.g., Global Fund, USAID, UN agencies) is highly desirable
